The annual plan requires $47.88 upfront; it is not a $3.99 monthly payment. With the introductory monthly offer, three months total $37.97 and four total $51.96. Annual becomes cheaper than the fourth monthly payment, but monthly is the smaller initial commitment. Token purchases are additional under either term.
What costs extra?
Ordinary subscribed chat continues after the token balance runs out. Further token-based media requires more credits, so exhausting the allowance does not force a top-up just to keep texting. Additional-token explanation ↗.
Use the included credits and stop requesting paid media when they run out. Text chat remains available during the paid period. The subscription is a spending ceiling only if you make no additional purchases.
There is no confirmed universal image, video or voice rate in the cited public material, and token-pack prices are unconfirmed. Accordingly, 100 tokens cannot be translated into a reliable fixed photo count. A generation rate also differs from the cost of a result worth keeping: paid retries consume the same budget.

Choose Premium for continued text chat; consider Plus for its extra allowance or controls. Plus is not automatically better value for occasional media use. Without a confirmed Plus price and top-up rate, there is no defensible dollar break-even figure. The documented benefit is additional capacity, not unlimited generation.
Cancellation and refunds

Candy’s published terms give card-paid subscription purchases a 24-hour refund-request window, subject to using no more than 20 tokens. Card-paid token packs must be unused.
